The Chateau de Vie was dreamed and constructed in 1984 by Phil and Billy Lee Erickson. The family made their living through their framing contracting business. The estate featured elegant stained glass, ornate wooden carvings, and stunning murals. The Ericksons built the property “to last 100 years.” The ongoing maintenance and ever expanding “honey do list” brought the family to part with the manor in 2002. By 2010, the property had fallen into disrepair.
In 2010, Shelly and Nick Goodman rescued architectural out of foreclosure. They have since been honored to restore and preserve the beauty of the exquisite showplace. Under Shelly's attentive supervision and eye for design in 2023 the property blossomed into The Lavender Farm. The Goodmans have four wonderful children and enjoy actively serving within their church and community.
